Arbërikon is an independent, non-commercial heritage and research project documenting Albanian history, genetics, and linguistics. We are not a medical provider, a laboratory, an ancestry-testing company, or a government body. We are not affiliated with any DNA-testing service you may have used.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, attempt to personally identify you, or share raw files with third parties.
Only non-identifying information appears on the public map — typically your haplogroup / subclade and a general geographic point (district or region level). Your raw data file, contact details, and any notes you provide are kept private and are not published. We aim to keep mapped points general enough that they cannot reasonably identify an individual.
Submissions are received and stored through a third-party form service and are accessible only to the Arbërikon maintainer. While we take reasonable care to protect submissions, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Submit only what you are comfortable sharing under those terms.
Your participation is entirely voluntary. You may request that your submission and any associated file be removed at any time, for any reason, by contacting us (see Section 12). We will delete it from our records and remove the corresponding point from the map within a reasonable period. To help us locate your entry, please include the details you originally submitted.
Arbërikon is a heritage and research project. Nothing here or on the map is medical, health, genealogical, or legal advice. Haplogroup and ancestry information is for historical and educational interest only and must not be used to make health or other decisions. Consult a qualified professional for any such matters.
The site, the map, and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that haplogroup assignments, map placements, or interpretations are accurate, complete, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arbërikon and its maintainer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or your submission of data. You submit and use this site at your own risk.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will apply only to submissions made after the change. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
